Batch 1 · Founding Test

What the lab actually found.

Before we packed a single pouch, we sent our moringa to Vimta Labs — one of India's leading NABL-accredited testing labs — and screened it across 318 parameters: heavy metals, aflatoxins, 290+ pesticides, and microbiology. No batch number existed yet when this sample was tested — this is the founding test the whole brand is built on. Here's what came back, in full.

Total Plate Count reflects naturally-occurring, harmless microbes typical of a raw dried leaf powder; the parameters that matter for safety — E. coli and Salmonella — are absent.

Heavy metals — all far below FSSAI limits

MetalResult (mg/kg)FSSAI limit
Lead (Pb)<0.052.5
Arsenic (As)<0.051.1
Cadmium (Cd)<0.051.5
Mercury (Hg)<0.051.0

Our results sit roughly 20–50× below the maximum permitted levels.

Pesticide & residue screening — 290+ compounds

Copper (total, elemental)12.15 mg/kg (limit 30)

BLQ = Below Limit of Quantification, meaning the compound was not detected at all by lab instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS). Copper is measured differently — by the same ICP-MS method used for the heavy metals above, which reads total elemental copper rather than its source. Copper is also a naturally occurring trace mineral in moringa leaves, alongside iron and calcium, so this result reflects the leaf's natural copper content at least as much as any agricultural residue. Either way, 2.15 mg/kg sits at roughly 7% of the 30 mg/kg limit. Full compound-by-compound list is in the PDF.
